Events

The Seto region hosts a whole range of annual events. Many of them are tied to the Orthodox calendar. The Setos mark church holidays (such as Easter) and some of them have regional importance. For instance, St. George’s Day in April is Värska’s feast day, and the Feast of the Transfiguration in August is Obinitsa’s. Most of the major calendar holidays are of interest to foreign visitors as well. In addition, music festivals, fairs and other events are held in the region, the most important of which is the Seto Kingdom Day.
